View this email in your browser Dear Fantesticle Supporters, Just a quick update because there are still vouchers for Cape Town Marathon and Peace Run and entries closes on 31 August 2018! And obviously other fantesticle news is there too: Do you know what “patience” is? Me driving for 5 days and 739 km from Joburg to Durban with an average speed of 30km/h – that is patience! BUT it was worth it. The cycle tour is something fantesticle! Are you in Cape Town on 7 September 2018? Dust off your dancing tekkies! Join the Rocking 4 Cancer event in Cape Town! If dancing is not your thing then there is a trail run with lots of fun for the family on Cloof Wine Estate on 8 September 2018. Every event Cloof supports a different charity. This time it’s for our four-legged friends. End of the year there will be an event for and with #loveyournuts. Watch this space! If you have any nutty ideas and/or would like to get involved you are welcome to contact me: email@example.com You are welcome to share this newsletter with friends and family. Awareness saves lives! Have a fantesticle day, Torsten Koehler Founder and CEO of LYN Thank you to the nutty cyclists They cycled beginning of August from Joburg to Durban to raise awareness and funds for Love Your Nuts. I’ve mentioned “patience”. I had enough time to think and on this challenging trip I realised that the cyclists simulate a cancer journey. 739 km cycling – elevation of 7800 m – 5 days: this is tough, this is physically and mentally exhausting, it goes up and down, you feel like giving up, your buddies support/push you up the next hill and you are overwhelmed when you made it. My cancer journey was exactly that: tough, exhausting, ups and downs, felt like giving up, support helped me in the darkest hours and when the doc gave the "all clear" 5 years later – overwhelming! Thank you to Samantha, Colin, Kevin and Kerr for organising this trip! And thank you to all of you – people like you make and create #loveyournuts! Much appreciated! You are still welcome to donate and support their fundraiser pages. Thank you! Thank you to the sponsors Thank you for donations, support and services! Without your contribution a cycle trip like mentioned above is not possible! Much appreciated! All the work in the LYN newsletters is only possible through continued donations and support. Thank you so much! If you have a company and like to partner with LYN too please contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org). LYN is a registered Section 18A, non-profit testicular cancer awareness campaign based in South Africa and can issue tax certificates.
