Colleen was born in Northern California, where she spent her early years before moving to Virginia with her family in 1998. During her middle and high school years, she earned a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and participated in numerous martial arts tournaments.
She graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College with a Bachelors in Biology. She then enrolled in Eastern Virginia Medical School to pursue a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies. Upon completion of the program, she was awarded the Paragon Award for exemplary academic achievement.
She went on to serve a one-year fellowship with EVMS in Emergency Medicine. Following this, she spent several years working in Emergency Medicine in Sentara hospitals in the Hampton Roads area. She is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Colleen enjoys traveling, music, swimming, and spending time with her two sons and extended family.
