Lakisha has been a RN for over 15 years. As a military spouse, in 2007 she moved from her home state of Virginia to Washington state. She then moved to California, then to Japan, and now returns to settle back in Virginia. During her career, she has cared for many patients from different social and cultural backgrounds. She has worked in many aspects of healthcare to include acute care, long-term care, public health, women’s health, primary care, and post-anesthesia care.
Lakisha is licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing and board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (2020), and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (2017).
