Graduate: South University, Master of Science in Nursing in Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner
Meghan earned her Master’s in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner through South University and is currently pursuingher DNP degree. She spent majority of her nursing career in emergency and critical care medicine, where she enjoyed providing care for complicated and critically ill patients. Prior to pursuing her degree in nursing, she was a Public Relations Director for multiple companies including the Audubon Nature Institute in New Orleans and The Salvation Army, with a speciality in crisis management and communication.
She believes that her patients are more than just a set of symptoms or a diagnosis. They are individual people who deserve to be treated with a wholistic approach.
In her free time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys spending time with her horses, competing at horse shows and attending Broadway musicals.
Meghan is licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the nursing academic honors society, Sigma Theta Tau, Emergency Nurse Association, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Urological Association.
