Testosterone Pellets

Testosterone pellets (Testopel™) are the longest-acting form of testosterone available, ideally lasting 4-6 months once doses are properly adjusted. They are placed during a quick office procedure into subcutaneous tissue above the buttocks. During insertion, local anesthetic is injected to numb the site. The pellets are inserted through a special needle and a bandage is placed on the site. There is no recovery time for the procedure; bruising and soreness can be expected for a few days. Testosterone is slowly released and absorbed over the course of several months.
