Job Overview
We are seeking candidates with prior clinical experience, to join our team. This position will be responsible for scheduling all non-surgical office appointments, responding to incoming phone calls from established patients and other external callers, and communication with sites to ensure that patient phone call requests are resolved in a timely manner. This role is critical to creating a positive first impression for the practice and to show patients a "we care" attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary function is to accurately triage all phone calls by evaluating their needs to determine appropriate site and provider of care, based on the conversation with the patient.
- Uses appropriate/required documentation (i.e. dot phrases) based on type of call being handled or placed. i.e., Clinical issues, prescription refills, imaging, no show.
- Registers patients by gathering demographic information with the highest possible proficiency and verifies existing data. Upon registering the patient, mails appointment reminder, information packet, and various office.
- Distributes incoming faxes to the appropriate recipients.
- Completes incoming requests from referring providers via telephone calls, emails, in-baskets or faxes and manages their requests and/or inquiries. Accommodates requests for same day appointments as permitted.
- Promptly and courteously answers and screens incoming calls and routes them appropriately according to established customer service guidelines.
- Prioritizes calls using courteous and professional attitude to ensure the highest satisfaction from all callers.
- While providing comprehensive service in an effort to reduce call transfers, redundancy of questions and unnecessary call backs.

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and experienced Radiological Technologist/ X-ray Technician, who will provide mobile services to various hospitals and surgery centers, under supervision of a treating Urologist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains good business relationships with various physicians and hospital staff
- Practices good customer service using cooperativeness and courteousness and maintains ethical and confidential relationships with physicians and hospital staff
- Ensures safety of the patient before, during and after the procedure
- Interfaces regularly with the scheduling departments at each facility to ensure smooth case load schedules
- Demonstrates competence in assisting the Urologist in the identification of calculi and accurately positioning each individual patient and selecting proper technical factors of each during the lithotripsy procedure
- Responsible for optimum radiographic equipment function and keeping patient exposures to a minimum without interfering with optimal treatment
- Assists other hospital, physician or related ancillary staff as required during procedure
- Confirms patient information entered into unit logs is complete and accurate and ensures all procedures performed are properly charged and recorded prior to being sent to the billing office

- Minimum of a high school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in Diagnostic Radiology; experience with a C-Arm is mandatory
- Moderate computer skills

- Completion of an AMA approved school of radiologic technology
- Registered and in good standing with the ARRT
- Obtain VA state RT license as required by law and operational needs

Our APPs manage all aspects of urologic oncology including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, renal cancer, etc. APPs will manage cancer patients, with physician support, through diagnosis and discussion of treatment options, interpretation of ongoing labs and imaging, and management of cancer medications and related adverse events. We have a strong research program with 20+ clinical trials with APPs actively enrolling and monitoring patients.

- Perform CLIA waved laboratory testing, strictly adhering to the policies and guidelines established by UVA and the practice
- Effectively uses necessary PPE as appropriate and abides by safe handling and disposal protocols of medical equipment and materials
- Provide patient education and training as needed to include by not limited to self- catheterization, bladder irrigations, pre-op instructions and post-op care
- Utilizes electronic medical records for documentation and charting all patient information to include but not limited to phone encounters, appointment scheduling, lab results, provider orders, etc.
- Cover phones for patient triage for prescription refills, appointment scheduling, and other duties related to aiding in patient care and treatment, by answering, documenting, and routing when appropriate all incoming patient calls
- Obtains authorizations and pre-certifications for clinical treatments, exams, diagnostic testing, and prescriptions as required per the patient’s health plan
Requirements :
Required License/Experience/Skills
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent
- Successful completion of secondary education in medical assisting or other nursing related field of study
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
