- Post manual and electronic patient/insurance payments, denials and zero pay remits within 24-48 business hours of receipt (batched by date of receipt and daily balancing is required).
- Daily Reconciliation
- Identify root causes to potential credit balances and variances
- Communicate any payment issues or discrepancies to Billing Manager
- Complete weekly EFT/ERA Reconciliation

• Completes the Appeals process to assist in the collection of all money due to the practice for medical services provided
• Contacts PCP offices to obtain retroactive referrals for patient services performed
• Contacts insurance carriers to obtain retroactive authorizations for patient services performed

Requirements :

We are seeking a highly effective leader who will serve as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and assume responsibility of its overall financial operations. Urology of Virginia has 30 physicians, 20+ Advanced Practice Providers and over 300 employees. While the principal office is located in Virginia Beach, VA, we currently operate three satellite sites, an ambulatory surgery center and support services including laboratory blood testing and pathology services, physical therapy, urodynamics, ultrasound/x-ray images, research studies as well as multiple outside investment interests. The CFO will serve as a member of the Executive team and will report directly to the CEO and Board.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for creating an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the practice financial mission and vision.

- Provides comprehensive evaluation therapy services to patients with pelvic floor dysfunction.
- Develops treatment plans for assigned patients, including specific goals, established in conjunction with the patient and family, and therapeutic activities.
- Administers physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercises, neuromotor reeducation including the use of EMG biofeedback, manual therapy and modalities as prescribed, all specific to pelvic floor dysfunction; directing treatments given by technicians.

- Effectively uses necessary PPE as appropriate and abides by safe handling and disposal protocols of medical equipment and materials
- Provide patient education and training as needed to include by not limited to self- catheterization, bladder irrigations, pre-op instructions and post-op care
- Utilizes electronic medical records for documentation and charting all patient information to include but not limited to phone encounters, appointment scheduling, lab results, provider orders, etc.
- Cover phones for patient triage for prescription refills, appointment scheduling, and other duties related to aiding in patient care and treatment,by answering, documenting, and routing when appropriate all incoming patient calls
- Obtains authorizations and pre-certifications for clinical treatments, exams, diagnostic testing, and prescriptions as required per the patient’s health plan
Requirements :
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent
- Successful completion of secondary education in medical assisting or other nursing related field of study
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills
