Shirley worked as a sports and orthopedic physical therapist for 6 years prior to working at Urology of Virginia. She developed an interest in treating pelvic floor conditions after noticing how pelvic floor dysfunctions can play a role in orthopedic conditions such as low back pain, hip pain, knee pain, and postural dysfunctions. Shirley has an interest in working with the postpartum population and CrossFit and powerlifting athletes limited by pelvic floor dysfunctions and helping them return to sports safely.
In her spare time, Shirley enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, hiking, and is an amateur ballroom dancer.
